Successful author Charles Condomine hires medium Madame Arcati to come to his home and perform a séance during a party in the hope that he can get material for his new book. Unfortunately for Charles, the medium ends up summoning the ghost of his glamorous first wife Elvira who is out to seek revenge on Charles. She attempts and succeeds in disrupting his second marriage and wreaks havoc on his life. Charles desperately seeks to rid himself of this inconvenient problem. But will he succeed before Elvira gets the best of him? Noel Coward at his finest: witty and intelligent theater.
